Abstract
The reaction of N-bromocarbamates with ethylene compounds was investigated, and the high structural specificity of this reaction was demonstrated. The structures of the (β-bromocarbamates obtained were confirmed by their IR and PMR spectra. When they are heated to 602-13D°C, they are readily cyclized to the corresponding oxazolidinones.
