Summary
The electrode problems involved in potentiometric titrations of halides with mercury(II) salts can be avoided by the use of a silver amalgam electrode. A recording method is described, which allows the determination of 10−2 mval of chloride, 2×10−3 mval of bromide and 10−4 mval of iodide. Iodide/bromide and iodide/chloride can be determined in presence of each other.
Zusammenfassung
Die bei potentiometrischen Titrationen mit Quecksilber(II)-salzen auftretenden Elektrodenschwierigkeiten lassen sich durch Verwendung einer Silberamalgamelektrode beseitigen. Ein registrierendes Verfahren wird beschrieben, welches noch 10−2 mVal Chlorid, 2 · 10−3 mVal Bromid und 10−4 mVal Jodid in 100 ml zu titrieren erlaubt. Jodid/Bromid und Jodid/Chlorid können nebeneinander bestimmt werden.
