Summary
Defined accuracy of analytical information — described by the interval of uncertainty of the accuracy R a —is generated by comparing the unknown number of atoms of the analyte with a known number of atoms of the analyte matching the value of a preceding analysis of the sample. This process of calibration is combined with the removal of matrix effects by the complete reconstitution of the sample weight by pure compounds according to the values of the preceding analysis.
Thus the distinction between absolute and relative methods of analysis becomes meaningless. The method described allows:
-
1.
the production of certified reference material with defined accuracy
-
2.
the production of an optimized number of adapted secondary standards with an accuracy sufficient for control purposes, the material of which is taken from the own production lines
-
3.
by a schematized application of these secondary standards with an equal statistical weight as compared to the analytical samples, to choose the quality of analytical work independently of the qualification of the staff members, and to increase the versatility and productivity of the latter.
In that case, the quality of work obtained can readily be documented after data-processing according to the charges of assurance of quality.
