Intramedullary ender nailing combined with parham's modified band in the treatment of subtrochanteric femoral fractures*

Summary

The treatment of oblique subtrochanteric femoral fractures is often difficult. Both fixation with a nail and plate, and intramedullary nailing have several pitfalls. Four cases treated with intramedullary Ender nailing combined with Parham modified bands are presented. The method is technically simple, gives complete reduction, allows early mobilization and gives a good functional result.

Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung schräger subtrochanterer Femurfrakturen ist oft schwierig. Sowohl die Fixation mit Nagel and Platte als auch intramedullare Nagelung sind mit Schwierigkeiten verbunden. Vier Fälle, die mit intramedullarer EnderNagelung kombiniert mit modifizierten Parham-Bändern behandelt wurden, werden vorgestellt. Die Methode ist technisch einfach, garantiert eine vollständige Heilung, gute Motilität and ein gutes funktionelles Ergebnis.
