Summary

Complex compounds of copper, nickel, palladium, vanadium and uranium with o-hydroxy acetophenone oxime have been prepared in the pure state and their properties studied. The reactions of the substance with various metallic ions have been studied on a qualitative basis, and compared with those of salicylaldoxime of which it may be regarded as a methyl derivative. As a result, the usefulness of the reagent for the gravimetric estimation of copper, nickel, palladium, vanadium and titanium as well as for the colorimetric estimation of iron, uranium and vanadium has been suggested.
