Abstract

A 21-month-old child with acute febrile dermatosis, leukocytosis and skin biopsy showing intradermal neutrophil infiltrate was diagnosed as suffering from Sweet syndrome. This syndrome is rare in children, described heretofore in only seven pacdiatric patients. The clinical and histological features, differential diagnosis, as well as the potential association with more widespread systemic diseases are discussed.
