Summary
Following a general survey of the nature and the well-known clinical and biochemical dates of Hartnup-disease, the progress and pathologicanatomical findings of a clinically determined Hartnup-syndrome on a girl of ten years are described and discussed. There are no pathological findings specifically for Hartnup-disease. The changes are regarded as being the result of permeability disorder in the area of the blood-tissue barier.
A hereditary and symptomatic form of the Hartnup-syndrome are taken into consideration on the basis of its prognosis.
