Summary

A model process on laboratory scale is presented for the demonstration of the influence of the properties of an analytical method on the controllability of a process. Investigated are the influence of the analysis accuracy, the analysis time and the time between two sampling actions. As the model simulates a years operation of a real process in a few days, it can be used for educational training. Moreover, it enables the analyst to deduce the optimal analytical parameters in those cases also for which theoretical relations are missing.
