Abstract

The haematological characteristics of Catla catla were investigated against the treatment of bovine serum albumin. A significant increase in haemoglobin, mean cell haemoglobin and mean cell haemoglobin concentration were found in both sexes, indicating a marked immune response by the host system. Factors that effect the haematological parameters of fish are discussed.
