Zusammenfassung
Es wird über die Neukonstruktion einer Skala zur Messung der manifesten Angst berichtet, bei der als Ausgangsmaterial die Skalen von Taylor, Cattell und Welsh benutzt wurden. Das Vorgehen bei der Übersetzung, bei der Re-Validierung, bei der Prüfung der Reliabilität und Validität und bei der Auslese der Items zur Verbesserung der Diskriminationsschärfe und zur Kürzung der Skala wird beschrieben. Es werden Durchschnittswerte und Interkorrelationen bei Studenten und bei Psychotherapiepatienten mitgeteilt, die als Anhaltspunkte beim experimentellen Gebrauch der Skala dienen können. Am Anhang wird zusammen mit der eigentlichen neukonstruierten Skala das gesamte Ausgangsmaterial für die Verwendung bei vergleichend-kulturellen und anderen experimentellen Untersuchungen mitgeteilt.
