Summary
Central cholinergic blockade produced by the administration of scopolamine hydrobromide significantly increased the toxicity of amphetamine in aggregated mice. Stimulation of the central cholinergic system by Tremorine, on the other hand, afforded protection against the lethal effect of amphetamine in aggregated mice, reduced spontaneous motor activity, and antagonized the effect of amphetamine on motor activity.
