Summary

The spadix-appendix of Typhonium divaricatum secretes an odorous oil. In active appendices droplets of this oil are found between the plasmalemma and the cell wall of the epidermal cells. The secretion is believed to be of the eccrine type.

Zusammenfassung

Der Spadix-Appendix von Typhonium divaricatum scheidet ein Duftöl aus. In aktiven Kolben finden sich Tröpfchen dieses Öls zwischen dem Plasmalemma und der äußeren Wand der Epidermiszellen. Die Sekretion scheint eccriner Art zu sein.
