Summary
The heat transfer problems of combined free and forced convection by a fully developed laminar flow in a vertical tube and a vertical sector channel of linear axial wall temperature gradient with and without heat generation are treated. By means of a complex function the coupled momentum and energy equations are combined in the form of a wave equation in the complex domain. Exact solutions are then established in terms of Bessel and associated functions. Some numerical calculations and discussions are also included.
