Zusammenfassung
Die verschiedenen, heute miteinander konkurrierenden ballistokardiographischen Methoden werden einer kritischen Prüfung nach rein registriertechnischen Gesichtspunkten unterzogen. Dabei stellt sich heraus, daß gerade die wegen verschiedener äußerlicher Vorteile meist geübten Methoden die größten und bedenklichsten Fehler aufweisen. Hierzu gehören die Verfahren der direkten Ballistographie, der sogenannten hochfrequenten und teilweise auch der mittelfrequenten Ballistographie.
Lediglich die niederfrequenten und kräftefreien Methoden (Elongations-BKG) erlauben eine vom technischen Gesichtspunkt her einwandfreie Registrierung. Da für jede quantitative Methode bestimmte Mindestforderungen an die Registrierqualität zu stellen sind, ergibt sich hieraus, daß man der wichtigen Frage, ob die Ballistokardiographie überhaupt für quantitative Kreislaufuntersuchungen geeignet ist — etwa zur Bestimmung des Schlagvolumens —, nur bei Verwendung einer niederfrequenten oder kräftefreien Methode nähertreten kann.
Jeder Versuch, mit den anderen (hochfrequenten und direkten) Methoden, etwa eine Schlagvolumenbestimmung durchzuführen, muß aus den dargelegten Gründen ein fragliches Ergebnis zeitigen.
