Wird die Silent period nach direkter Muskelreizung durch die Golgi-Sehnenorgane ausgelöst?

Summary

A direct stimulation of a voluntary innervated muscle produced a large inhibition (80–100 msec). When the stimulus is combined with a passive relaxation to cancel a necessary degree of tension the silent period will be reduced. The experiment demonstrates that the inhibition is autogenetic coming from the Golgi-tendon organs.

When the stimulus is combined with a passive extension the silent period is also shortened by the facilitation influences of the muscle-spindles.

It is concluded that the voluntary movement is regulated from the integrative action of autogenetic inhibition (Golgi-organs) and facilitation (muscle-spindel-system).
