Zwei Fälle von „periodischer Somnolenz junger Leute“ (Kleine-Levin-Syndrom)

Zusammenfassung

Das Krankheitsbild des Kleine-Levin-Syndroms wird anhand der Beschreibung zweier Fälle besprochen. Im ersten Falle handelt es sich um ein typisches Syndrom mit allen Symptomen, auch der selten berichteten Steigerung des Durstgefühles. Fall 2 zeigte kein vollständiges Krankheitssyndrom, dieses konnte als forme fruste eines Kleine-Levin-Syndroms bezeichnet werden. Neurologische Untersuchungen, EEG und Blutzuckerwerte lagen im Bereich der Norm.

Fall 1 wies eine Pleocytose und serologische Befunde wie bei frischer Toxoplasma-Infektion auf, so daß eine infektiöse Ätiologie dieses Krankheitszustandes diskutiert wird.

Nach den eigenen Fällen und der Literatur handelt es sich wahrscheinlich um ein polyätiologisches hypothalamisches Syndrom, das in einigen Fällen encephalitischer Genese sein kann.
