Summary

The authors describe the technic, indications and complications of the embolization in the external carotid and medullary territories. Their experience is based on 60 cases of vascular tumors and arterioverious malformations. All the embolizations, using GELFOAM, have been carried out by femoral approach and with superselective catheterisation of either branches of external carotid or intercostal arteries.
