Summary

A. Reflux: from the anterior to the posterior circulation (or vice-versa) may occur in the presence of of favorable configuration of the Circle of Willis consisting of a combination of a wide diameter of the PCCA and P 1. — A fetal type of PCA will not necessarily allow a reflux into the tip of the BA (importance of P 1). — B. Reflux: should be definitely considered a pathological event after a favorable configuration of the Circle of Willis has been ruled out.
