Summary

A preparation method is described for analysing size classified rain drops by SEM (scanning electron microscopy), equipped with an energy-dispersive detection system. The concentration is determined by addition of an internal standard. This allows the quantitative analysis of samples with a volume of 2 μl and a concentration of 1 μg/l. The time of measurement is 100 s.
