New observations on infanticides among hanuman langurs (Presbytis entellus) near Jodhpur (Rajasthan/India)

Summary

Six eye-witness and five inferred cases of infanticide in two troops of Presbytis entellus near Jodhpur, India, are presented. These observations are used to test the hypothesis thatinfant killing is a male reproductive strategy.
