Summary
The content of primary and secondary hydroxyl end groups in polyethers is determined by means of 360 MHz 1H NMR spectroscopy of the trichloroacetyl isocyanate modified polymers. For poly (ethylene oxide-co-propylene oxides) the NMR analysis allows a rapid analysis of the nature of the polyether end groups as well as the presence of other end groups resulting from side reaction.
