Summary
The chromosomes in 207 normal individuals (107 women and 100 men) were investigated by the fluorescence method. The data on the distribution of individuals according to the presence of brilliant bands in chromosomes 3, 4, and 13 were obtained. The frequencies of chromosomes having a brilliant band were 64.9, 27.6, and 84.4% respectively, for the 3rd, 4th, and 13th chromosome. The distributions of homozygotes and heterozygotes with respect to the presence of brilliant band in chromosomes 3, 4, and 13 are significantly different. Significant difference between sexes in the distribution of homo- and heterozygotes of the brilliant band in chromosome 3 was observed: among women the heterozygotes prevail, among men the homozygotes. Some questions connected with the detected phenomena are discussed.
