Summary
Sex differences of the alkaline phosphatase activity and of the unspezific esterase activity in the kidney of the mouse were demonstrated histochemically
The differences are due both to the intensity and to the distribution of both enzymes. The simultaneously investigated acid phosphatase showed no significant sex differences. The alkaline phosphatase and esterase activities of the intestine were the same in both sexes.
