Abstract
The ectomycorrhizae of Phellodon niger are comprehensively described and compared to other ectomycorrhizae of Thelephoraceae species. P. niger ectomycorrhizae are distinguished from all previously described ectomycorrhizae by the unique shape of their chlamydospores.
