Summary
Thirty-two patients, who had frozen shoulders which had not improved with physiotherapy, were treated by manipulation under general anaesthesia or by steroid injection and hydraulic distension under local anaesthesia. Distension is recommended as it is easy to carry out and gave better results than manipulation.
Résumé
Trente-deux malades présentant une ≪épaule gelée≫ qui n'avait pas été améliorée par la physiothérapie ont été traités soit par des manipulations sous anesthésie générale, soit par une infiltration de corticostéroïdes et une distension hydraulique sous anesthésie locale. Le recul est compris entre 12 et 44 mois. La distension hydraulique a paru être un procédé simple et qui donne les meilleurs résultats en ce qui concerne la sédation des douleurs et la récupération de la mobilité. On peut la recommander comme traitement de choix des ≪épaules gelées≫ qui ne répondent pas à la rééducation dans un délai raisonnable.
