Abstract
The discrepancies between theoretical and experimental calibration curves for solar magnetographs (Severny, 1967) may be explained by horizontal inhomogeneities of the observed but not resolved magnetic field region. Using the Unno solution of the equations of transfer simple two-stream models have been constructed. For the more complicated case of a depth dependence of the magnetic field vector it is shown assuming pure absorption and permitting arbitrary variations of the magnetic field vector and the atmosphere model with depth that a solution of the equations of transfer may be found by iteration.
