Abstract

As General Secretary Xi Jinping said on many occasions, “the rise and fall of a civilization is closely tied to its relationship with nature.” Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization was adopted as a guide for action at the National Conference on Eco-environmental Protection on May 18, 2018. At the conference, Xi reiterated: “Our mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes and grasslands together form a biotic community. An ecosystem is an integrated natural system of interdependent and closely related ecological chains.
