Abstract

This paper focuses to enhance the dynamic behavior of the power system during load disturbances using PID plus double derivative (DD) PIDD controller optimized with water cycle algorithm of weighted-sum multi-objective function. The multi-objective function comprises the characterizations of absolute error multiplied with time over integral (ITAE) and error squared over integral (ISE) performance indices. An analysis is performed to demonstrate the best set of weightage for investigation. Finally, it is confirmed that the performance of the multi-objective-based controlling approach is a way better than other controllers mentioned in the literature.
