Abstract
The use of acoustic emission technology detecting the corrosion of the storage bottom has the advantages of less time, low detection cost, good economic efficiency and high reliability, etc. In the background of the cost savings in the oil industry, acoustic emission detection of tank bottom corrosion is attracting more and more attention. Based on the application of detecting storage tank corrosion, in this paper, the various aspects’ problems related to the acoustic emission detection process of the bottom’s corrosion are studied, which is a useful exploration in the practical application of acoustic emission detection technology. After analysing the data collected in the spot, such as location analysis, amplitude analysis, energy analysis, and then based on the engineering experience, the corrosion situation of the tank is evaluated and the related maintenance suggestions are put forward. It has important reference value for the development of acoustic emission tank bottom corrosion detection technology and its practical application in tank bottom corrosion evaluation.
