Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to identify populations and subgroups at high (or low) risk of skin cancer and to discuss time trends in the incidence and mortality of skin cancer that may assist in identifying prevention priorities and in evaluating prevention strategies. We do not discuss genetic factors that may influence susceptibility (other than ethnicity); these are covered in Chapter 7.
