Abstract
Growth and nitrogen fixation of cyanobacteria can be influenced by a variety of environmental factors. However, little is known about the possible effects of gibberellins <GAs> or abscisic acid <ABA> on the cyanobacteria. In this paper we describe the effects of GA3 and ABA in the concentration range of 0.001 -10 mg.1–1 on the growth and nitrogenase activity of cyanobacterium Nostoc muscorum Agardh.
