Abstract
Normal ovarian function (hormonal and oogenetic) is the result of an integrated series of events associated with a variety of embryological, endocrine and physiological mechanisms. Infertility resulting from ovarian failure may be due to derangements affecting (a) normal ovarian development; or (b) endocrine processes; or (c) to ovarian pathologies (for example tumors).
