Abstract
VLA observations of the radio-emitting symbiotic star AG Peg show that the radio source, which has been interpreted previously as an expanding stellar wind, is primarily (80%) a resolved nebular sphere 1.5″ (=1.3 × 1016 cm) in diameter that has had an average expansion velocity of 15 km/sec since about 1850 when ejection began. The rest of the radio emission comes from the combination of an unresolved point source with a spectral index of 1.2 and a jet-like feature extending from the point source to the nebular shell.
National Radio Astronomy Observatory is operated by Associated Universities, Inc., under Contract with the National Science Foundation.
