Modelling of Metal Forming Processes

Abstract

In metal forming processes, friction plays an important role. The quality of the final product depends on effective control of friction, and an accurate modelling of the friction effect is essential for a good description of the phenomenon. We focus, in this presentation, on the behaviour of sheet metal under a blank holder for metal forming problems encountered in the car industry.
