Abstract
Information exchange among populations in the world is increasingly easier and faster. This exchange has impacted ways of life of different communities around the world that are called upon to explore new ideas. Child rearing practices are part of these new ways. This chapter surveys some features of parenting among the Kenyan Luo and Kipsigis ethnic communities. The chapter reviews the possible causes of the changing trends in parenting observed in the two communities.
