New Ways of Working – Vertrauen und Selbstmanagement in einer digitalisierten Arbeitswelt

Zusammenfassung

Mit dem zunehmenden Fortschritt der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie schreitet die Digitalisierung und damit auch die Flexibilisierung der Arbeitswelt voran. Die Wissensarbeiter können heutzutage vermehrt selbstständig entscheiden, wann, wo und wie sie ihre Arbeitsaufgaben erledigen. Deshalb stellen wir in diesem Beitrag diesen Trend exemplarisch am Beispiel der Schweiz dar und zeigen, wie sich diese Flexibilisierung der Arbeitswelt – New Ways of Working – in den Unternehmen manifestiert. Wir betrachten sowohl den Nutzen als auch die Herausforderungen für die Mitarbeiter, Führungskräfte und Organisationen. Daraus leiten wir Schlüsse für die Unternehmenskultur ab. Konkret schlagen wir die Verankerung einer Vertrauenskultur und die Ertüchtigung der Mitarbeiter im Selbstmanagement vor. Und obwohl damit nicht alle Risiken von New Ways of Working abgemildert werden, zeigt dieser Beitrag anhand von Szenarien auf, wie Unternehmen durch Vertrauen und Selbstmanagement häufige Probleme von New Ways of Working wie die Isolation und die Vermischung von Arbeits- und Privatleben erfolgreich adressieren können.
