Abstract

MRI is accurate in detecting and evaluating fetal abnormalities in addition to ultrasound. The knowledge of current technical parameters of the MRI examination and normal anatomy of the region is essential.

Understanding the spectrum of appearances of the various head and neck malformations and masses at MRI improves the diagnostic yield, enables to understand the pathological process, and facilitates antenatal and postnatal care.
