Abstract
Since pharmaceuticals are anthropogenic substances, some of which enter the environment in considerable amounts and with potential toxic effects (Halling-Sørensen et al. 1998), substantial efforts have been made to assess the risk for ecosystems and humans (Henschel et al. 1997).
