Zusammenfassung
Die Analyse des wechselvollen Verhältnisses von Religion und Politik in liberalen Demokratien und somit in einer politischen Ordnung, in der religiöse und politische Autorität dem Trennungsgebot unterliegen, füllt weiterhin Bücher. Nicht zuletzt durch die mittlerweile sehr ausdifferenzierte Debatte um „Post-Säkularisierung“ bleibt dabei auch die Frage nach der „Rückkehr der Religion(en)“ ins allgemein als säkularisiert geltende Europa von wissenschaftlichem Interesse (Riesebrodt 2001; Graf 2004; Lutz-Bachmann 2015).
