Zusammenfassung
Das Eventformat Hackathon hat in den letzten Jahren große Aufmerksamkeit jenseits der Hacker-Community auf sich gezogen. Der Fokus auf die effektive Problemlösung und auf konkrete Resultate zeichnet dieses Eventformat vor anderen aus. Das „Erfolgsprinzip Hackathon“ hat den Bereich der Software-Entwicklung verlassen und wird für Hardware- und Open-Data-Projekte, aber auch globale soziale Herausforderungen zunehmend fruchtbar gemacht. Mit Start-up-Weekends und Corporate Hackathons ist der Ansatz außerdem auch in der Wirtschaft angekommen. Der Hackathon avancierte zum Brutkasten für Unternehmensideen und er wird eingesetzt um Prozesse der Innovation und des Kulturwandels zu beschleunigen. Der Beitrag erklärt Idee und Struktur dieses innovativen Formats und gibt einen Ausblick, wohin dieses sich durch die Digitalisierung fortentwickeln könnte.
