Controlled Single-Blind Trial of Budipine, L-Dopa, and Amantadine in 102 Patients with Parkinson’s Disease

Abstract

Information on results of treatment in parkinsonism may be obtained from the patients themselves, from their relatives, i.e., family members and particularly life partners, or their general practitioners. An experienced physician, e.g., consultant neurologist, will draw comparisons with numerous parkinsonian patients in addition to his clinical observations and measurements of the patient in question. His sound and critical judgment, however, can hardly afford to ignore the patient’s own feeling, be it ever so transient and subjective. Above all, doctors are supposed primarily to take patients’ well-being into consideration, being concerned additionally with the results obtained with sophisticated measurements.
