Rhabdovirus Carpio in Herpivorous Fishes: Isolation, Pathology and Comparative Susceptibility of Fishes

  • Conference paper
Viruses of Lower Vertebrates

Abstract

In the USSR as well as in other countries, where the Orient herbivorous fishes are reared, some diseases of these fishes associated with a haemorrhagic syndrome have been registered. They have been considered as diseases presumably of infectious nature. In some cases pathogenic bacteria (sp. Aeromonas) were isolated from affected fish. Regular virological examinations of diseased fishes were not carried out.
