Abstract
The leading role of prostaglandins (PG’s) and thromboxane (TX) in septic shock is mainly based on five entities:
-
1.
Molecular identity;
-
2.
Known pharmacology;
-
3.
Normally “not present” in circulating blood;
-
4.
Potential correlation with clinical symptoms;
-
5.
New therapeutical perspectives.
