Stability Calculations and Transition Criteria on Two- or Three-Dimensional Flows

  • Conference paper
Laminar-Turbulent Transition

Summary

This paper deals with the prediction of the boundary layer transition in incompressible two- and three-dimensional flows. The essential elements of the linear stability theory, governing the transition phenomenon, are introduced onto transition criteria. The presented applications to experimental cases allowed us to check up the validity of the proposed criteria.
