Summary
The results of experimental investigation of the generation of Tollmien-Schlichting waves in the boundary layer on the vibrator are discussed. It is shown that the vibrations of surface of amplitude of a few microns cause Tollmien-Schlichting waves in the boundary layer downstream the vibrator. It was discovered that the surface vibration localized in space can become one of possible mechanisms of control over a boundary layer transition.
