Critical Survey of Experimental Data on in vivo Synchronization by Hydroxyurea

  • Chapter
The Ambivalence of Cytostatic Therapy

Part of the book series: Recent Results in Cancer Research ((RECENTCANCER,volume 52))

Abstract

The use of drugs capable of causing partial synchronization of malignant cells has been advocated in cancer chemotherapy. The purpose of this paper is to review some of the data on which such treatments might be based and to evaluate the practicality of cell synchronization in cancer therapy.
