Zusammenfassung
Wasserlösliche Röntgenkontrastmittel (RKM) gehören zu den breit angewendeten und weitgehend sicheren Pharmaka; sie sind jedoch alle mehr oder weniger nephrotoxisch [2, 4, 12]. Bis eine mögliche kontrastmittelinduzierte schwere Niereninsuffizienz überhaupt symptomatisch in Erscheinung tritt, vergehen in der Regel Tage; ein kausaler Zusammenhang mit einer Kontrastmittelgabe, insbesondere bei multimorbiden Patienten, wird damit wahrscheinlich häufig übersehen [3, 11, 12].
