Abstract
One of the main aims of ICP recording is the prediction of the further ICP course and the evaluation of intracranial compliance. Until now, it has been possible to obtain information as to intracranial compliance only by invasive manipulations, e.g. lumbar puncture and external volume-load. Such maneuvers can be dangerous, however, especially for patients with already expanding intracranial volume. Therefore we tried to obtain additional information concerning the intracranial, tension and the further ICP course by an analysis of the ICP modulations.
