Chloride Transport to the Charophyte Vacuole

Abstract

It is the purpose of this paper to review the current evidence on Cl- transport in charophyte cells, with two particular questions in mind: a) what Cl- compartments need to be postulated to account for present results, and b) whether vesicular transport at either membrane needs to be postulated. New work will not be presented in full, but reference will be made as necessary to work in progress or in preparation for publication.
