Eine Praxisorientierung der Weiterbildungsprogramme für Führungskräfte ist neben der theoretischen Fundierung unabdingbar. Amerikanische und europäische Programme unterscheiden sich in der Konsequenz, in der die Praxisorientierung angestrebt wird. Positive europäische Ausnahmen sind die international-orientierten Programme jener europäischen Business Schools, welche frühzeitig die Anforderungen der Praxis erkannt und umgesetzt haben.
